Dr. Naime Brajshori

Prof. Ass. Dr. Naime Brajshori is the Rector of Heimerer College in Pristina since 2020. Previously, from 2010 to 2020, she served as the Dean of the Nursing program and Vice-Director of Heimerer College. She holds the distinction of being the first individual to achieve a doctorate in Health Sciences and Nursing in Kosovo, completing her studies at Martin Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. During her master’s studies in 2008-2010, she was a research associate at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Health and Nursing Sciences, contributing to the implementation of the DAAD project “Academic Reconstruction in Southeast Europe.”

Dr. Brajshori’s work centers around patient safety culture improvement in hospitals, occupational safety for health workers, and aligning healthcare education with labor market needs. She was a lecturer at the University of Prishtina’s Department of Nursing and Midwifery (2008-2016) and coordinated the Tempus Project “Insteap,” which led to the accreditation of the Master of Science program “Education in Health Care” at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pristina.

She is a coordinator at the Southeast European Institute for Health and Social Policy, established with DAAD support, and a founder of the institute. Dr. Brajshori collaborates with a multidisciplinary network of health and social science professionals, contributing to quality assurance in healthcare and educational counseling services in Kosovo. She is an organizer of numerous national and international projects, an author of scientific articles, and a coordinator of international scientific events.
